Perimeter of a Rectangle

The Perimeter of a rectangle is the total distance around all of its edges.

Take the following rectangle:

Perimeter = 6 + 10 + 6 + 10 = 32

The Perimeter of a rectangle can also be found using the equation P = 2(l + w). For the previous rectangle:

Perimeter = 2(6 + 10) = 2(16) = 32
