Bilateral Symmetry

A figure possesses Bilateral Symmetry if you can pass a line through it to divide it into two equal halves.

The above figure possesses bilateral symmetry. A line can be passed through it to produce two equal halves, as shown below:

This line is called a line of symmetry.
